Lions have always spoken to something primal in me. Years ago, I visited Africa and found myself face to face with a lion on safari—calm, powerful, and utterly unbothered. That moment never left me. It was less about fear and more about respect. This painting is my interpretation of that feeling.
Created as part of my paint slinging series, this piece pulses with motion, yet the lion’s expression remains still and commanding. Every splash of paint carries energy, but the eyes ground you. It’s chaos and control, wildness and wisdom, all at once.
